The Secret of the Super Saiyan
Now any fan of Dragonball can tell you, Goku is a lot stronger with his tail, but I have realized, that the true secret to becoming a Super Saiyan lies in the tail, or lack there of. Now to prove my point lets look at who turned Super Saiyan and how long they had their tails. First was of course Goku, he does for some unknown reason advance faster then any other character, maybe its because he was knocked on his head as a baby, but back to the point, he lost his tail at quite a young age, it did return, but only to get cut off again a few years later. He turned Super Saiyan at about the age of 30. Now Vegeta was the next one to turn Super Saiyan (I'll get to Future Trunks later). He didn't lose his tail till he was about in his thirties, and he did go Super Saiyan so after, but also keep in mind he kinda cheated by getting beat up and healed on purpose to increase his power faster. Then we have Gohan, he transformed into a Super Saiyan at a very young age, and he also lost his tail at about the age of 5, he was also the first one to achieve the level of Super Saiyan 2. Then we have Goten and Chibi Trunks, they both reached the level of Super Saiyan before the age of 8, and as far as I know neither had a tail ever, if Trunks had one it was cut off at a very early age, because he is shown as a baby, and Goten isn't shown till about the age of 7, but he is never seen with a tail. Now the tail isn't the only thing needed to reach the level of Super Saiyan. Which is the case with Future Trunks. He had very little training before Gohan started, which is why it took him so long to transform the first time. Next we have "The Legendary Super Saiyan" Brolli, or Brolly, depending on who you ask. He turned Super Saiyan as a baby, while he still had his tail. How could this be, HE'S THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN DAMMIT. Finally we we look at Dragonball GT, now of course its not considered officially part of the the Dragonball series by most fans, it still helps prove my point. Goku is turned into a child at the beginning of the series by a wish from a returning character from Dragonball Pelif (he was part of the TV Series, not the manga, which is why most people don't like the series). When he is changed to a child, he regains his lost tail, but he still has all his abilities from when he was an adult, so he can still go Super Saiyan. Now another great advantage (or disadvantage, depending on how well trained you are) of having is a tail is the ability to transform into a giant Ape, called Oozaru, at the site of a full moon. Now when Goku is Super Saiyan and sees a full moon he turns into a Golden Oozaru which is basically a Super Saiyan giant Ape, but this lets him reach the next level of a Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 4, by controlling the power and transforming. That concludes my rant on the Secret of the Super Saiyan, if you have read the entire thing, I thank you for listening because I doubt anyone will. And also, you might have too much time on your hands, like myself. |
